Mim Senior High School Commissions two new Houses, names after Nana Owusu Acheaw and Dr Owusu Baah



 The authorities of Mim Senior High School in the Asunafo North Municipal have commissioned two new Houses for the school due to increasing in population of the school.


This colourful events took place in the school's premises on Saturday, September 17 2022.


The school decided to name this houses after two indigenous people whose efforts have helped the school in so many ways.


The first House was named after the late King of Mim traditional council Nana Owusu Acheaw Berempong who donated their family land for the Nkrumah administration in the 60s when the president decided to establish a Training college in the area.

History has it that Nana Owusu Acheaw demarcated a vase family land for the government to establish the Mim Training college which was later converted to Senior High School.


A medical doctor Paul Owusu Baah was also named after one of these houses due to his contributions for the school.

The Headmaster of the school Mr James Kodua explained the need to name these beautiful new houses after them.


"MISEC is a property for the people of Mim that's why we decided to choose from the people of Mim who has helped the development of the school  Nana Owusu Acheaw Berempong and Dr Owusu Baah were selected due to their immense support for the school and their contribution in Mim"


The two families showed in showing appreciations also donated some items and money to the school.

The family of the late Nana Owusu Acheaw Berempong donated an amount of Two Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 2,000.00), a set of jersey, two balls and other football materials.


Dr. Owusu Baah's family on the other hand donated Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 10,000.00), three footballs, a set of jersey and a Trophy.


The event was graced with a football match between Nana Owusu Acheaw house and Dr Owusu Baah House at the MISEC park.
