NPP Sunyani West 2nd Vice Chairman Accuses Regional Chairman of Bribery and Sabotage
The Second Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Sunyani West Constituency, Isaac Agyare has publicly accused Bono Regional Chairman Kwame Baffoe (Abronye DC) of accepting bribes, spreading false information, and sabotaging prominent party members.
Agyare alleged that Baffoe has been financially compromised by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's camp to undermine key NPP figures, destabilize the party, and incite violence ahead of the 2028 elections.
He claims to possess "strong evidence" of the bribes and demands immediate disciplinary action.
Agyare highlighted the NPP's decline in the Bono Region under Baffoe's tenure, stating, "Before his chairmanship, the NPP held 11 out of 12 parliamentary seats. Today, we've lost all but one due to his divisive and reckless leadership."
Agyare urged the NPP's National Executive Committee to suspend Baffoe, investigate the bribery claims, and restore discipline.
He warned that failure to act would lead to further disintegration and potential collapse of the party.
The accusations have sparked internal strife within the NPP's Bono Region branch, historically a stronghold for the party.
The outcome of the allegations may impact the party's performance in future elections.
