Berekum manhene donates Ghc 23,000 worth of PPEs to Berekum Health directorate to fight COVID19


The Omanhene  of Berekum Traditional Council, Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II on  Thursday 7th May, 2020 donated Personal Protective Equipments to Berekum
Health Directorates and the Holy Family Hospital in the Bono region. 

The Omanhene who also doubles as the president of the Berekum Traditional council donated the items worth about Twenty three Thousand Ghana Cedis (Ghc 23,000) was in the company of some divisional chiefs from the council. 

Among the  items donated include 1000 pieces of face masks, 12 gun thermometers, 10 boxes of hand gloves, methylated spirits, Veronica buckets with metallic stands, 10 boxes tissues, sanitizers amongst others. They are to be distributed to all the health facilities in both Berekum East and West.





Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II who is a medical doctor by profession advised his people to take safety precautions serious.

"Covid-19 is real many people are contracting the virus across the world and we must be very careful to stay safe from the getting the virus" he emphazed.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Health directorates, Berekum East Health director Dr Bedima Duut thanked the traditional authorities 

"On behalf of the Health directorate together with our colleagues from the Berekum West District we say thank you Nananom for such items, we assure you to make very good use of these PPEs to make them serve the purpose of bringing it to us"

Information available to fillascornergh.com disclose that Daasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II together with the police have initiated mandatory wearing of nose mask in the Berekum municipality and has urged the security to arrest anybody without the nose mask on the streets of Berekum.
