Scores of golfers on saturday December 21, 2019 gathered at the Achimota Golf course to celebrate the outgoing managing director of cal bank Mr frank Adu Jnr. in the 2019 CalBank Golf championship
This year cal bank open Golf championship was in honour of Mr frank Adu Jnr.who is exiting after serving for 30 years at the bank as the Managing Director.
He handed over as the captain of the achimota golf to Mark Cofie between 2014 -2016.
The event was to show appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Adu Jnr. for the role he played to promote golf to the CalBank staffs.
The ceremonial teed off was performed by the outgoing MD of cal bank Mr frank Adu Jnr. together with the president of Ghana golf association and Mr mike aggrey , captain of achimota golf Mr Kofi Amoafo yeboah.
In his remarks Mr. frank Adu Jnr. expressed his gratitude to the entire staff of the bank and golfers for honouring him and also charged the incoming MD Mr. Philip Owiredu to continue from where he left by encouraging the staffs of CalBank to take Golf serious.
Dozens of golfers eulogised Mr Frank Adu Jnr. for his outstanding leadership role and contribution to the bank and golf in the country.
Tokens were presented to deserving players. The longest drive prize went to James Kelley in the men and women's category went to Aaliyah Iddriss.
Brave Mensah emerged the overall winner.
