A political analyst Mr Boakye Yiadom has predicted a 51% or more victory for the rulling party led by Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo in upcoming 2020 Presidential election.
He made this assertions when speaking on the Sunyani based Akonoba FM's morning Show hosted by Solomon Asiedu dubbed "Adekye Mu Nsem" on Monday, December 2 2019.
When asked if the No Vote had won the withdrawn December 17 Referendum had any effect on the upcoming 2020 General elections, he said has no effect on the outcome of the elections.
"It will have no effect on the 2020 presidential elections if the No had won, I can tell you that with the policies implemented by this government, they will win the elections by 51% or even more than that"
He also commended the president for withdrawing the referendum because the education did not reach out to the people.
"I commend the president for listening to the cry of the citizens because majority of Ghanaians did not know what the Yes or No stands for, and for that matter there should be an effective education on it in future."
"Due to the nature of how we do our politics in Ghana and Africa, we are not ready for partisan politics in our local elections. It will also take the remaining powers of the chiefs from them and so to me it was not going to help us" he added.
The president through his powers yesterday December 2 cancelled the referendum which was scheduled for December 17 2019 in an address to the nation.
